Pictures & Travelogues

Welcome to Foto-Page.net! Pictures & Travelogues – the title says it all – are the focus of this site. You’ll find »photography (above all, travel photography) in many facets – like cityscape, architecture, landscape and nature – larded with individual »travel experiences as well as tips and background information.

Please note: As the »German pages of this website have been online for more than five years, it was about time to go about the English counterpart. “Good things come to those who wait.” After countless hours, days, months of tinkering on my PC the first English pages have been finally finished! Further pages will follow bit by bit …

What’s New on Foto-Page.net?

Travelogue: Zagreb, Croatia – Sights of the Upper and Lower Town

22 April 2010 — In June 2003, I did a business trip to Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. On a sunny afternoon I took my camera to do a photographic excursion through the Lower Town. When I returned to Zagreb some time later in March 2004, I finally managed to explore the Upper Town as well.

Travelogue: Rhine Falls Schaffhausen, Switzerland

21 April 2010 — A long week-end and beaming sunshine – ideal conditions for an excursion to Switzerland! A sightseeing tour through Zurich has always been high on the list. And while we are in the Zurich area, the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen are worth a stopover, anyway.

Pictures: Shrove Monday Procession 2010 in Böblingen, Germany

5 April 2010 — This year’s Shrove Monday Procession of the “Fanfarenverband Grün-Weiß-Böblingen” started at 1:13 pm. At the start: a coloured mix of 52 carnival associations, drum and bugle corps and parade floats – not to forget me and my camera. Today’s update comprises the overdue »photo album to the event. Have a nice Easter Monday!

Travelogue: Back to the Middle Ages – Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany

24 August 2009 — Rothenburg ob der Tauber has become the embodiment of Germany’s romantic past. No wonder that the medieval old town with its tiny cobbled alleyways, half-timbered houses, picturesque churches and towers attracts 2.5 millions of day trippers every year. On May Day we joined the masses of tourists and did an excursion “back to the Middle Ages“.

Travelogue: Amsterdam, Netherlands – Sightseeing in the Old Town

1 January 2009 — Once we had got the travel bug again, we ended up in Amsterdam for a week-end trip. However, the date for our trip couldn’t have been chosen worse … rain, rain and nothing but rain.
