Back to the Middle Ages – Rothenburg ob der Tauber (D)

24 August 2009 — Rothenburg has become the embodiment of Germany’s romantic past. No wonder that the medieval old town with its tiny cobbled alleyways, half-timbered houses, picturesque churches and towers attracts 2.5 millions of day trippers every year. On May Day we joined the masses of tourists and did an excursion “back to the Middle Ages“.

1 January 2009 — Once we had got the travel bug again, we ended up in Amsterdam for a week-end trip. However, the date for our trip couldn’t have been chosen worse … rain, rain and nothing but rain.
